The pastoral care for the children at Breadsall Hill Top is very important to us, we ensure that we provide a high level of duty of care, welfare and safety for all children.
The support at Breadsall Hill Top involves working with children experiencing barriers to learning which could be related to social, emotional, health or personal reasons. The school values and is constantly strengthening its work with the local community and builds strong relationships with outside agencies to support the mentoring of our children.
Pupil and Family Support Manager
The role of Pupil and Family Support Manager was introduced at Beadsall Hill Top Primary in May 2016.
The intention is that there is a link between each child’s academic progress and potential and the challenges children and their families’ face that may impact on this.
A key role of the Pupil and Family Support Manager is to work alongside other agencies and other professionals to provide early intervention to overcome the barriers to a successful educational journey at Breadsall Hill Top Primary. This holistic view enables our pupils to be supported in the appropriate way at the appropriate time.
Emotional well-being of our pupils is a high priority and the Pupil and Family Support Manager manages key resources for children to gain emotional intelligence.
