Residential trips are school trips that take place over a few days and pupils are required to stay away from home. They are activity-based trips and are one of the first experiences of being away from home for a child. At BHTP the children have the opportunity to have an on-site residential in Year 2 and to travel away for their residential in Year 6.
School Sleepover - Year 2
BHTP are proud to offer a one-night sleepover for children in Year 2. During this time the children will be provided with a range of experiences: treasure hunts, night walks, crafts and outdoor fun, such as toasting marshmallows on a campfire.
This residential provides a brilliant opportunity for the children to experience all the fun of a residential in a familiar environment with their peers before they enter Key Stage 2.
Robin Wood - Year 6
This residential gives pupils the opportunity to experience time away from home in a safe but challenging environment. Trips provide lots of opportunity for outdoor learning and discussion. This trip encourages teamwork, resilience, problem solving, initiative and empathy. It develops pupil independence further and encourages pupils to take safe risks, have a strong growth mind-set and prepares them for being secondary ready.
